We are thrilled to welcome an electrifying trio of world-class jazz musicians to the stage!

Drummer Sylvia Cuenca brings her fiery energy, rhythmic precision, and deep musicality to every performance. A powerhouse behind the kit, she has performed with legends like Joe Henderson and Clark Terry and now leads this stellar trio.

Joining her are three acclaimed artists:

Craig Handy – A virtuosic saxophonist known for his soulful tone and dynamic improvisation, Handy has performed with everyone from Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers to the Mingus Big Band.

Essiet Essiet – One of the most in-demand bassists on the scene today, Essiet has toured and recorded with legends like Art Blakey, Freddie Hubbard, and Geri Allen. His groove and depth are unmatched.

Matt Clark - BFA in Jazz Studies from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Recorded and/ or performed with Bobby Hutcherson, Benny Golson, Eddie Marshall, John Faddis, David “Fathead” Newman, Gene Bertoncini, Joshua Redman, and Teddy Edwards. Toured extensively throughout Asia, Europe and the United States including appearances at the Monterey, San Francisco, Vienne, Big Sur, Stanford, and Rochester jazz festivals in addition to televised performances for CNN Showbiz Today and numerous PBS specials.

Expect a night of hard-swinging, deeply rooted, and forward-looking jazz.
