Larry Vuckovich is a Yugoslavian-born American jazz pianist acclaimed for his eclectic style blending bop, post-bop, blues, and world music. Classically trained in Kotor, he emigrated to San Francisco in 1951, studied with Vince Guaraldi, and performed with legends like Mel Tormé, Jon Hendricks, Philly Joe Jones, and Dexter Gordon. A fixture at top US and European jazz venues, he leads ensembles such as Blue Balkan and has been honored with multiple lifetime achievement awards.
