Tenor Saxophonist Tom Scott
From Carole King to the Blues Brothers to Joni Mitchell to George Harrison to the L.A. Express,
Tom is a constant fixture in the greatest music recorded over the past 50 years.
“Tom Scott is out of sight! Plays any idiom you can name, and blows like crazy on half a dozen horns.”
Quincy Jones

With three GRAMMY awards, innumerable producer, bandleader, and soundtrack credits, and over 2000 recordings with artists ranging from Thelonious Monk and Frank Sinatra to Steely Dan and Paul McCartney, saxophonist Tom Scott is among the most prolific and celebrated instrumentalists and composers in modern music. It was Scott’s saxophone that added a soulful swagger to Carol King’s “Jazzman,” Blondie’s “Rapture,” Whitney Houston’s “Saving All My Love for You,” and Steely Dan’s “Black Cow” among countless other pop hits.
Tom Scott is among the most prolific and celebrated instrumentalists in modern music. For this special night, Scott revisits his wildly popular L.A. Express project that found fame as both a fusion superband and backing ensemble for singer Joni Mitchell’s timeless albums.
